I know, I know, It’s a “Pet Photography” Session. But… just in case your wondering what to wear for a dog photography session… I mean, I might get you in front of my camera, you never know. We do go over this and much more at your Planning Session.

For your dog, it’s simple- leash and collar. Done.
Or they can dress up too! Sparkly new leash and collar, or hat and glasses. Whatever your dog is comfortable with. Let’s get creative!

If you’re like me “I have nothing to wear” “I can’t fit into that, I need to lose 10 (or 20) pounds”…
You look fine, you should get photos taken with your dog no matter what you think you look like. Of course, you may know you look awesome, I won’t judge.
Go get hair and make up done if you wish. Or do your own hair and make up, or not at all.
Wear what makes you feel good. Your clothes should represent your style, and flatter your body. I do send a session guide with some tips, but you should wear what makes you feel comfortable.
A few ideas
- What’s timeless and classic and is always a win? Jeans! Dress them up or dress them down. Holes in the knees? Freaking awesome.
- Add layers! Depending on the season… jean jacket, leather jacket (goes well with the holes in the jeans) Patterns can help hide any trouble spots on your midsection, if you’re self-conscious.
- Shoes – in general, comfortable. Unless, we are doing a special shoot that happens to involve your shoes. (Hint Hint)

Remember, the session is for your pet and they will be the focus, but I encourage you to get a few shots of you together. Trust me in 5-10 years you’ll wish you had.
